Personal Project

I created an illustration in order to illuminate one of my favorite quotes about New York City. Brilliantly delivered by the late American actor David Margulies in his role as the Mayor of New York City in the movie Ghostbusters II, it follows:

"Being miserable and treating other people like dirt is every New Yorker's God-given right."

Personal Project

As a big fan of New York history, and more specifically the original New Amsterdam settlement, I created thirty-six designs for the flag of New York City.. For me, they represent various solutions to a design challenge of distilling down significant New York historical events, iconography, geography, and culture that have shaped the city of New York.

Personal Project

I decided to take an alternative graphic approach to the usual way that phonological inventory of a language is displayed in dry linguistic texts.

This looser approach displays all of the basic sounds of the Romanian language, and where they are produced in the mouth of the speaker.
